§ 7-152. Fences enclosing swimming pools required; penalty.

  • (a)

    Every swimming pool, as defined in the Uniform Swimming Pool Code, except public swimming pools, shall be completely enclosed by a fence or other structure adequate to prohibit ingress and egress at least four (4) feet in height.

    (b)

    Any gate provided for ingress and egress to swimming pools shall be self-closing and self-latching.

    (c)

    Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction is punishable by a fine as provided in section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Prairie, or any amendment thereto or renumbering thereof, for violations of public health and safety for each act of violation and for each day of violation.
